Imagine yourself without health insurance,
with no money left in your
budget to pay for healthcare - for your children or you. Where would you
turn?
MayView was founded over 30 years ago to provide a healthcare safety net
for the less fortunate in our community, providing the appropriate
setting - both from a medical and economic perspective - for high
quality primary healthcare to low income, uninsured individuals and
families in Northern Santa Clara County. Where there is a gap in
accessibility to medical care, we are committed to responding.
Our services include general medical care for children and adults,
preventative care, comprehensive perinatal services, family planning and
special counseling and health-ed programs. In addition, we are a
resource for those who need information on accessible programs such as
dental care, mammograms and counseling services.
Why do we seek support from private donors? State and County funding
supports healthcare for children and women of child-bearing age. Men
between the ages of 18 and 65 and women between the ages of 45 and 65
have no access to healthcare for such basic services as immunizations
and cancer screenings. We provide services to those individuals on a
sliding fee scale. Our patients pay what they can - often a fraction of
the actual cost of the services. For our patients, the actual cost of a
tetanus shot, a pap smear or a PSA is simply unaffordable.
If you believe that everyone deserves a periodic physical, or an
immunization when needed, then we rely on you to contribute to MayView
on an annual basis. Our clinic is your community health care center and
your donation, at whatever level, provides a better life for someone in
your community. We invite you to visit the clinics for a private tour so
you can see how your dollars are spent. Thank you for your
help.
